Foundations in Art for TEENS: Intro to Painting with Gouache

New Session starting in March!  **Scholarships are available.

Fridays, March 8 to April 12, 3:30-6:00pm

This class is designed to engage teen artists in developing their creative skills with professional artist, Heidi Lorenz. This class presents an opportunity for artists to widen, broaden & deepen their artistic skills in a friendly environment that is warm & welcoming. Questions are applauded, exploration is encouraged, and personal artistic development is certain. This series will grow & expand throughout the year allowing students to dive even deeper into their creations and learning while building and strengthening their skills and art portfolio. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of artist -grade materials, view examples from the masters throughout history–juxtaposed with contemporary greats, witness artist demonstrations, and create their own masterpieces. This six-week session focuses on introduction to painting with gouache. Gouache is an opaque, water-based paint that is quick-drying, like watercolor, inexpensive, and makes gorgeous results.  This class looks to engage both young teens, just getting to the next level of art creation, as well as older teens looking to deepen their skills and portfolios.
