The
Library Arts Center is currently hosting an Artist in Residence,
Ceramicist Erin Miley. “We are just so excited that the
Library Arts Center Endowment for Arts Education is willing
to sponsor this position” comments LAC Executive Director
Kate Niboli. “This is the beginning of a new era for
our studio program” Niboli adds. Artist in Residence
Erin Miley has a BA from UNH with a focus in ceramics and sculpture.
This is not Miley’s first residency; in 2007 she spent
a year as Artist in Residence at the Craftsman House Gallery
and Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida. Miley currently lives
in West Unity, New Hampshire and spends most days in The Arts
Center Studio working on her own sculpture and instructing
children’s and adult’s studio classes. Miley’s
ceramic sculpture will be on display in the Library Arts Center
Gallery as part of the Fresh Approach Exhibit, May 30th through
June 26th.
