The 2018 Performance Schedule:

July 5—Hampstead Stage Company presents Treasure Island

Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Treasure Island is a fantastical tale of pirates, adventure, and buried treasure!  It tells the story of young Jim Hawkins and his perilous search for the buried treasure of the infamous Captain Flint.  Students will meet Long John Silver and his band of marauding pirates, and take an exciting journey across the seven seas.  Throughout this swashbuckling tale, we teach the danger of greed and the importance of helping others.

July 12—T-Bone presents a Family Concert with Beach Balls, Limbo Sticks & More
Location Change:  This performance will take place at the NEWPORT REC CENTER (65 Belknap Ave. Newport) due to construction on the side lawn.  The show will take place at the Rec Center–rain or shine.

We are thrilled to welcome the energetic, ever-popular T-Bone as he returns to the Library Arts Center with a lively show to help us kick off summer right!  His humorous show will have kids of all ages laughing, dancing, and singing.

July 19—Mime, Magic & Comedy with Chris Yerlig

In his show Chris blends mime, magic, music and mirth to create an original vaudeville show that is funny, imaginative and full of surprises. The unexpected is to be expected when audience volunteers are invited to join him on stage to assist. Young and old unite through laughter as they follow the non-verbal antics of this unique performer to their humorous ends. Don’t be fooled by anyone else!

July 26—Hampstead Stage Company presents American Folktales & Songs

At the height of the Great Depression two traveling workers find themselves sharing the same camp one frigid night. Alone and without work, they find warmth in the mutual discovery of traditional American folk songs and tall tales. Through music and storytelling, these new friends bring classic folktales from all over America to life! Join us on a great adventure as we travel from sea to shining sea discovering great American legends.

**Bring a blanket or a lawn chair as the morning dew often makes the ground a bit moist!
