Jazz piano-vocal concert by Tim Kelly to benefit the Library Arts Center

Thurs. Sept. 21st, 7:00 – 9:00pm – Library Arts Center Gallery

Join us for a very special performance indeed! Internationally traveled jazz pianist-vocalist Tim Kelly will be performing classic Jazz standards as well as Modern Jazz and Originals. All proceeds go to the Newport Library Arts Center and the tickets are $10 per person.
Tim graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1974 and has traveled the world performing over 9000 shows. He is an accomplished jazz pianist and vocalist, as well as a composer. Tim has performed for presidents George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton.  He has performed throughout the United States, as well as South America, Europe and Asia. He has shared the marquee with such notables as David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, George Benson, Gary Burton, Kurt Elling, and The New York Voices-to name a few.
     This performance will include music from the Great American Songbook, which is the music of Gershwin, Ellington, Cole Porter etc. There will also be some Modern Jazz with pieces by Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk as well as some of Tims’ original compositions.
     This is a rare performance not to be missed!
