Library Arts Center is CLOSED until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Library Arts Center's physical space will be closed through at least May 4th.  ALL STUDIO, MUSIC, and YOGA CLASSES, as well as all in-person events WILL BE CANCELED DURING THIS TIME.  We have taken many of our events DIGITAL to keep us connected during this time.  See more info on our site about the Peeps DIGITAL Diorama Contest, the "Share Your HOPE" Project, the Black & White ONLINE Exhibit, and Digital Watercolor classes via ZOOM online.

Black and White Exhibit:  A juried community group show

April 4-May 29, with an opening reception Friday, April 3, 5-7pm

This juried community exhibit features artwork of all mediums made in black, white and gray. Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, mixed media etc. will all be represented. The wide array of mediums, styles, themes and artists will all be connected in the gallery by black and white.

IN THE WEST GALLERY:  Newell Green Photography Exhibit & Sale

The exhibit features vintage New Hampshire and Vermont black and white reproduction prints from negatives (circa 1930s-1950s) of acclaimed local photographer Newell Green (1901-1993).

June 6-July 31, with an opening reception Friday, June 5, 5-7pm


Juried Regional Exhibit

August 8-October 16, with an opening reception Friday, August 7, 5-7pm

Deadline for Entry:  Monday, July 13, 11:59pm, artists will receive notification of participation by Tuesday, July 21.  Artwork selected for inclusion in the show will need to be dropped off Saturday, August 1, 10am-2pm, or by appointment before that date.

Gallery of Gifts:  Handmade for the Holidays

November 7 – December 23

This favorite annual show of handmade craft transforms the gallery into a “handmade wonderland” of unique locally made crafts and art pieces from over 100 regional artists and crafters–perfect for holiday gifting.   Preview party catered by the Old Courthouse Restaurant Thursday, November 5- 5-7pm by ticket, Opening reception Friday, November 6th-5-7pm (open to the public).  Interested crafters may view more information about the show and the entry process HERE.
