Juried Regional Exhibit 2021
Library Arts Center Gallery | May 22 – July 6, 2021
The Library Arts Center is pleased to present the annual favorite Juried Regional Exhibition. This exhibit highlights the diverse and creative talent from regional artists residing in New Hampshire and Vermont. Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and mixed media are all featured. We are thrilled to be able to present this beautiful work in the gallery again this year! We ask that all visitors to the show help to maintain social distance, and wear a mask when in the gallery.
Congratulations to our 2022 Selections Winners
When entering their work for the Juried Regional, artists also had the opportunity to compete for the Selections Competition. The following artists were awarded, by the jurors, the opportunity to present a larger body of their work in a group exhibit in the Library Arts Center Gallery in 2022.

SHOW JUROR, 2021
Karena Ness grew up in a rural environment surrounded by the wide open sky and fields of eastern North Dakota. She moved south to attend Savannah College of Art and Design furthering her study and exploration of painting. She earned her M.F.A. in Painting in 2004. New Hampshire then became her home where she both exhibited and taught art within the region. Most recently in 2018 Karena returned full circle back to her ND roots, back to family, home and the Great Plains. She currently teaches and continues to be active in her own studio practice. Karena’s artwork is suggestive of the natural world and alludes to the flight and movement of birds. These birds are not predetermined, as Karena suggests rather they appear to land and take flight unintentionally. They entail no formal classification yet offer an identity within the spaces they inhabit.
