Opening Reception:  Fri. June 10th, 5:00-7:00pm

The Library Arts Center is pleased to present the annual favorite Juried Regional Exhibition.  This exhibit highlights the diverse and creative talent from regional artists residing in New Hampshire and Vermont.  Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and mixed media are all featured.  We are thrilled to be able to present this beautiful work in the gallery again this year!

When entering their work for the Juried Regional, artists also had the opportunity to compete for the Selections Competition.  The following artists were awarded, by the jurors, the opportunity to present a larger body of their work in a group exhibit in the Library Arts Center Gallery in early 2023.

SHOW JUROR, 2022, Professional Artist

Betsy is a long-time resident of Hanover and Croydon (seasonal) NH.  She received a BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College and has exhibited in New England and in France.  Inspiration comes from places she has visited, and has photographed, sketched, or painted in pastel, oil or water-based media. She uses these representational works as the foundation for later imaginary landscape and expressionist abstract paintings.

SHOW JUROR, 2022, Executive Director, Arts Alive!

Jessica is the Executive Director of Arts Alive! in the Monadnock region. She is a dedicated nonprofit leader with experience in community outreach, and program development and evaluation. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University’s theater conservatory program, and a Certificate in Arts Management from the University of Massachusetts. She has been awarded two fellowships through National Arts Strategies: Forward Thinking Fellowship and New England Creative Community Fellowship. She is also a professional artist – and continues that work as a musician, playwright, actress, and theater director. She was featured on the National Endowment for Arts website for their 50th anniversary. Jessica lives in Brattleboro, Vermont, where she serves on her town’s Selectboard. She enjoys creative adventures with her husband James and daughter Evelyn, and loves coming home to their house full of furry friends.
