2017 Exhibit Dates: Aug. 12 – Sep. 29, 2017 with an opening reception Fri. Aug. 11, 5-7pm
Thank you for submitting your work for the 2017 Juried Regional Competition. It is inspiring and exciting to see the abundance of creativity and the diversity of artistic expression in our region. The juror had quite a job selecting from many outstanding entries.
Artists will be notified of entry status via email by July 23rd.
*Please note that notifications are being sent ‘per piece’. If you have entered more than one piece, and do not see both pieces listed here, then please be on the lookout for another email, or contact us for further details if you do not receive notification regarding both pieces by 6pm on Sat. July 22.
Exhibition dates are August 12 to September 29 with an opening reception Friday, August 11, 5 to 7pm. Normal gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 4pm and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm.
Accepted work should be delivered to the gallery on Wednesday, Aug. 2 and Thursday, Aug. 3 between the hours of 11am and 4pm, or by appointment before the 3rd. If you are unable to bring your work on these dates, and you are unable to arrange to have someone else bring your work on these dates, please call or email the gallery to arrange an early drop off. Please be sure to arrange to have your accepted work dropped off by these dates, as we will need all work present to arrange the layout of the exhibit. The Library Arts Center does accept entry by mail. Please email or call to inform the office if you are planning on mailing your submissions.

The Library Arts Center will provide inventory forms for each artist to sign at drop off; details on exhibition included on that form are listed below. We encourage you to fill out the inventory form before you arrive, if at all possible.

* Each piece displayed in the gallery is insured by the LAC for 70% of its sale value up to $2,500. Pieces that exceed this value will only be insured up to $2,500 in value.
* All pieces in this exhibit are expected to remain on display for the duration of the exhibit, per Library Arts Center policy, artwork is not to be taken out of the gallery early by the artist, or by a purchaser.
* Pick up of work will be on dates to be announced after the close of the exhibit.
* Artwork prices set by artists should include the 30% commission to the Library Arts Center. Artists will be paid for sold works at the end of the exhibit.
All participating artists are encouraged to attend the opening reception if possible. We hope to see you there! The opening is free and open to the public, and we encourage you to invite friends, family & fellow artists. There will be refreshments and live music at this community celebration of your creative work.
