Gallery Drop-in Art Project | Step-by-Step Landscape Painting in Gouache⁠
This Saturday!. April 20th ⁠
Drop-in between 10:00-2:00pm in the Library Arts Center Gallery⁠
⁠
Free! All are welcome to participate.⁠
⁠
Drop-in to the gallery to create a similar stunning gouache landscape with guidance and step-by-step instruction from artist Heidi Lorenz. Gouache is opaque watercolor paint, and this drop-in is a great opportunity to explore and experiment with it, while also creating a gorgeous finished art piece. This process is designed to engage artists of all ages and abilities.⁠

All supplies and materials are provided. FREE to participate and all are welcome to come and get creative in the gallery.

We’re celebrating the artists with delicious hors d’oeuvres and lively live music. Join us!

This community group show includes artwork from professional artists, non-professional artists, community members, and youth alike in a variety of mediums, and is generously sponsored by LaValley Building Supply and Summercrest Senior Living Community⁠

Our Adventure Painting Series continues this Satur

Our Adventure Painting Series continues this Saturday, Apr. 13 at Pollards Mills in Newport!⁠ Pollard Mills waterfall is an 18-foot set of cascades that shoots into a large pool that is excellent for swimming. Perhaps, one of the prime swimming holes in the region. The falls are surrounded by gardens, there are a few chairs, a picnic table, and a nature trail.

This monthly drop-in class meets in a different inspiring location throughout the year to draw, paint, sketch or photograph nature in comradery with other outdoor art enthusiasts. This inclusive and welcoming group is designed to engage artists at all levels & to consider the natural effects of light & its ever changing influences on our landscape. This drop-in series is an opportunity to create a fun community of artists, to be inspired, creative, adventurous, & to be amidst nature in all seasons throughout the year! ⁠

$8/session for LAC members, $12 for non-members⁠
**You can register and pay online in advance, or if needed Heidi can collect cash or check for the class upon arrival.⁠
