Come one, come all! We want YOU to be part of this fun, springtime competition! The Library Arts Center is pleased to host this light-hearted, creative contest using the iconic Easter Candies: PEEPS! to Newport and surrounding communities once again in 2015. Community members of all ages, businesses, school classrooms, groups & organizations are all encouraged to enter.
Dioramas on Display: Sat. Apr. 4 – Sat. Apr. 11, during regular gallery hours: Tu-Fri. 11am-4pm & Sat. 10am-2pm

Entry Fee: $3.00 per diorama
Diorama Drop-off: Submissions may be dropped off to the Library Arts Center gallery Mar. 28-April 2, 2015 – during gallery hours: 11am-4pm. The entry form (download below) & $3 entry fee should accompany your submission.
Entry Deadline: Thurs. Apr. 2nd at 4:00pm
Diorama Dimensions/Size Limit: While there are no specific criteria for minimum or maximum diorama dimensions, please keep your diorama the size of a shoe box or boot box to ensure that we will be able to accommodate the maximum number of entries.

Inspiration:
Do a web search for “Peeps Diorama” on your favorite search engine for a multitude of ideas, or scroll through the many creative dioramas from the Library Arts Center’s contest from past years HERE. Take cues from history, current events, pop culture, politics, trends, art & more! We particularly enjoy entries that have a creative play on the word “peep”.
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria a) a creative & original concept b) creative use of and/or manipulation of peeps c) artful design
On the official entry form you will be asked to provide the following:
An incredible artist… “Peeperace”

a. Your name, age (if under 18) and hometown
b. The names and hometowns of anybody else who contributed to the diorama
c. A phone number and e-mail address
d. The title of your diorama and a phrase or sentence about its significance.
e. Anyone age 14 & under will be able to enter with parental permission.
JOIN US FOR THE PEEPS PARTY!
Winners will be announced at the Peeps Party “Opening Reception” on Friday, April 3, 5:00-7:00pm. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prizes will be awarded, as well as a “Best in Peeps” award. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite diorama for the “Peep-les Choice Award”
Party-goers will also enjoy Peeps-themed refreshments, including a Peeps S’more roast in the parking lot (weather permitting). The Peeps party is FREE & open to all.

**All contest entries not picked-up / claimed after the show closes, by April 30th, 2015 will become the property of the Library Arts Center, and may be subject to disposal.
