This Land is Your Land: Photography Exhibit⁠ August 15 - October 9, 2026⁠ Gallery Hours: Tues.-Fri. 11am-4pm | Sat. 10am-2pm⁠ ⁠ From sweeping landscapes, to quiet hometown streets, from everyday moments to the people who shape our communities, ‘This Land Is Your Land’ celebrates the beauty, diversity, and spirit of our nation through photography, in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.
Our Saturday Gallery Drop-in Art Projects are the Our Saturday Gallery Drop-in Art Projects are the perfect opportunity to get creative and explore a new medium. If you’ve never tried Sumi-e painting before—this Saturday is your chance! The Library Arts Center provides all the specialty materials, and you get to experiment and experiment and explore. THIS Sat. Aug. 15 | Drop-in any time between 10:00am-2:00pm | Free, and all are welcome.⁠ ⁠ Drop into the gallery and learn about this ancient Japanese artform and try your hand at this ancient art practice. Sumi-e is a Japanese, Zen-influenced art form using black ink (sumi) and water on paper to capture the spirit of nature through minimalist brushstrokes. It uses four key items: ink sticks, ink stone, bamboo brushes, and rice paper, all of which will be available in the gallery, along with guidance and instruction from our resident Sumi-e enthusiast, Heidi Lorenz! ⁠ *No pre-registration necessary.

Join us from 5 to 7 PM to see photographs from over 80 regional artists. We will celebrate this new work with beautiful refreshments and live music. See you at the opening!
Brand new Art Kits just dropped for August! ☀️🎨 A Brand new Art Kits just dropped for August! ☀️🎨 Art Kits are a monthly offering at the Library Arts Center. Projects inspire artists of all ages to get creative, with easy to follow instructions, and all materials are included! Best of all, they are FREE! We produce a limited number of kits each month, so pick yours up soon anytime during gallery hours. Tuesday through Friday, 11 AM to 4 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. (or get your first chance to pick up one at tonight‘s art opening from 5-7pm.
