In collaboration with the ReSEEN exhibit, there will be an interesting challenge to artists, community members and children alike to make something out of nothing– a true artistic challenge! Those who choose to participate will sign up, find a free item, (perhaps from an attic, a curbside, a junk drawer, or from the stash of creative “trash” collected at the Arts Center) for this challenge. Then, the participant will alter the piece in any way he or she sees fit to give it new creative and artistic life. These pieces will be donated to the Library Arts Center and will be displayed August 9-September 12 in the West Gallery.
Visitors to the exhibit can place sealed, silent bids on these artistic “treasures”, and 100% of proceeds raised from this artistic fundraiser will benefit community arts programming at the Library Arts Center. This is a wonderfully fun and creative way to help support this nonprofit arts organization, thanks for your interest!
Challenge RULES:
We will include as many entrants as we feel we can fit in the West Gallery appropriately. Please fill out the form and bring or send to the Arts Center as soon as possible as space is on a “first come, first served” basis.
**All entry forms are due by the end of July, but would be appreciated sooner if possible.

If you want to “go big”, please check in with the Arts Center to make sure there is room. We would love to have some big work, but just want to make sure we can fit our entries in the gallery appropriately.
All entries should be clean, dry and appropriate for a gallery setting, please.
We would love to have a “before shot” of as many pieces entered as possible to display in the gallery with these artistic treasures. If you are able to take a picture and email it to the office (lac@nhvt.net) that would be great, or if you would like to bring it into the gallery we would be happy to take a picture for you. We understand that this may not be possible for all entrants and we understand, we are grateful for your participation!
Have fun! This is a challenge to inspire people to HAVE FUN & be creative. Don’t be intimidated–and know that your creative contribution will be appreciated.
*ALL ENTRIES ARE DONATIONS TO THIS FUNDRAISER. We are grateful for the generous and creative spirit of those participating, as this is a fundraiser to support the arts programming we all love here at the Library Arts Center. We will be sure to share with participants how much money is raised from this challenge.
