The submission format is very user-friendly, but consider asking a friend or fellow artist for help if the online submission process seems daunting. SELECTIONS EXHIBIT
Artists are encouraged to also compete for the Library Arts Center Regional Selections Exhibit when entering the Juried Regional. While choosing work for the Juried Regional, jurors are also asked to select 6 – 7 artists who they feel present the strongest work (from those who choose to compete). These selected artists are awarded the opportunity to display a larger body of their work in the Library Arts Center Selections Exhibit in February/March of 2015.
Instructions to Compete for Selections: Artists who choose to compete for Selections should click the link to the Selections Call for Entries from this page once logged in to EntryThingy, and will be asked to provide 6-8 examples of their work as well as bio & artist statement. There is no additional fee to compete for Selections, however artists MUST submit entries to the Juried Regional in order to be considered for Selections.
As Selections Winners will be displaying a body of work of 5-10 pieces in the Selections Exhibit, those competing for Selections should make sure that their 6 – 8 images read as a body of work clearly connected by theme, style, and/or content.
*New LAC Policy: This year’s Selections winners are welcome to enter the Juried Regional, but are asked to wait one year before competing for Selections again.
