Dick and Nancy Kipperman were vibrant, dedicated, and wonderfully creative constants at the Library Arts Center for many years.  Nancy served on the Board of Directors for several years, serving as president for part of her term.  Nancy came to the Library Arts Center in her retirement after she finished her career as a school educator and administrator.  A talented artist, Nancy exhibited her artwork in many shows in the gallery throughout the years.  Nancy could also be found in the Arts Center studio, as she was an avid learner, never nervous to try a new style, technique, or approach in her artwork.  Dick was always at her side, and frequently volunteered his time and a helping hand at many Arts Center events over the years.

Nancy passed away in October of 2018 after a short and courageous battle with Cancer.  In memory of Nancy, for her work and involvement here at the Library Arts Center, and her love of education and youth, the Board of
Directors of the Library Arts Center named the Children’s Scholarship Fund in her name.  After Dick passed away in 2022, the Kipperman Family to rename the fund in honor of both Dick and Nancy. The Kipperman Children’s Scholarship Fund is funded by individuals, businesses, grants, and funds from the Arts Center’s Endowment for Arts Education.

This fund, now newly named, allows many children the opportunity to take part of our programming each year.  As accessibility to the arts is a key part of the Library Arts Center’s mission, this fund is especially important to the Center.
