The Library Arts Center invites you to participate in the
February Mini Art Challenge28 Tiny Days to make 28 Tiny Art Pieces
In February 2026, join the Library Arts Center for a month of tiny, joyful art making.
Participants of all ages and abilities, from kids to professional artists, are encouraged to join in this art challenge.
No pressure, no perfection: just a daily practice of showing up, playing with color, and letting small works lead to big growth.
Each day of the shortest month of the year you create a tiny art piece. (This size is referred to by artists as ACEO Art Cards, Editions, and Originals.) Participants can make whatever art they want, with whatever mediums, or can use provided daily word prompts, and access free art kits.
**Please note that there are two size options for your tiny art:
Traditional ACEO size is ACEO size is 2.5″ x 3.5″.
The art kits distributed by the Library Arts Center have watercolor papers sized at 2″ x 3.5″.
If you choose to make your own, you may choose either size you like.
What you Need:
- Your favorite drawing or painting supplies in your choice medium
- Paper sized for tiny art (2.5 x 3.5″), or whatever you like.
- Free Art Kit from the Library Arts Center (optional)
This challenge takes no special materials, as you can use whatever medium you prefer, or whatever supplies you have. Professional materials are not necessary! The Arts Center is providing 50 free art kits to the first 50 participants who sign up for the challenge–no strings attached.
Mini Art Kits
To get you started, the Library Arts Center is providing a limited supply of free art-making kits for participants partaking in the challenge! These kits include 28 mini pieces of watercolor paper, a small watercolor art palette, as well as a great pen to help you begin and experiment.
Kits will be available for pickup beginning Wednesday, January 28th, during gallery hours while supplies last (Tuesday through Friday 11-4. Please note that the LAC is closed on Sat. 1/31 and Sun. 2/1.)
*Only a limited number of kits are available… please be sure to pick up your reserved kits by Jan. 30th, or they will be released to the next interested persons.
How to Share Your Tiny Art Creations:
Share your tiny artworks on social media with #28TinyDays and tag the Library Arts Center so our community can be inspired by your work and/or upload to our google photo album to share to have the chance for one of your drawings to be shared on LAC social media channels and in promotional materials. (We will only be able to share from accounts without restricted privacy settings.) You may ALSO share to our community Tiny Art Challenge shared Google Folder to share your drawings, check out the work of other artists in our community, and interact with other artists taking on the challenge.

How do I get a free art kit from the Library Arts Center?
Register for the challenge at the link on this page, and mention in your registration that you would like for us to resrve a kit for you.
Kits that are not reserved before Feb. 1st will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
*Only a limited number of kits are available… please be sure to pick up your reserved kits by February 1st, or they will be released to the next interested persons.
What if I don't want to use the suggested prompts?
Totally fine! Feel free to use your own prompts, or create anything you like!
How do I share my work?
Post your pieces on social media using the following hashtags:
#tinyartchallenge (our special little Arts Center hashtag for our local group taking on this year’s ink challenge. Please NOTE that we will only be able to share posts from accounts that are not set to “private”)
What if I don't have social media? or if I don't want to share my artwork online?
Totally fine! Feel free to share your artwork with your friends, family, or fellow artists. Even post them on your fridge if you don’t care to post them online! Sharing helps keep you accountable to the challenge, but is entirely optional.

Don’t forget to post your first mini piece sometime on February 1st!
February 28 - Final Day of the Challenge
Don’t forget to post your last piece sometime before the end of February!
FEB. 28 11:00am - Mini Art Meet-Up!
The challenge will culminate in a meet up in the gallery February 28, 11:00am where participant can celebrate a month of mini art making (bring what you did, all 28 or just a handful depending on what you accomplished), show each other what created, connect with fellow creatives, and see what others made. At this point participants can opt to trade with others if they like, or keep their mini art challenge complete as it is collection complete as it is.
