WINTER CARNIVAL
Scavenger Hunt!
presented by the Library Arts Center
We’ve planted 12 distinct inflatable palm trees amidst the wintry landscape of downtown Newport! Help us find their locations on this walking tour of downtown Newport designed for participants of all ages. Find all the palm trees and unscramble the letters you find to enter a drawing to win a $100 cash grand prize!!
Find clues and a digital entry form below on this page, or for a paper copy of the clues and entry form, stop into the Library Arts Center between 10-2 on Saturday (or at our lei-making booth on the Common Saturday morning).
HOW it WORKS:
1) FIND THE PALM TREES! Go on a hunt to find the 12 inflatable palm trees hiding all around downtown Newport! Travel around town by car or by foot, and go at your own pace. The trees will be in destinations all around town on Sat. Feb. 11 and Sun. Feb. 12 during the Newport Winter Carnival.
The contest is open to families, children, and adults of all ages!
2) UNSCRAMBLE THE LETTERS! Each palm tree has a letter on it, and the combined letters on the 12 trees will spell out a Newport-ish phrase! Show us that you have completed the hunt by filling out the online form below with the names of the locations, and the letter found there. Unscramble the letters to show us the mystery phrase!
3) GRAND PRIZE! ALL of the entrants with the correct unscrambled phrase will be entered into a drawing to win $100 in cash!!
