The Library Arts Center is pleased to announce the 2014 Winter Carnival Photo Contest.
Professionals, amateurs and children alike are all invited to participate in the Winter Carnival Photo Contest. The theme for this year’s contest is: Give us your Best Shot!
Get creative! Use old photos or take new ones. Each participant can enter up to two images, framed or unframed.
Photographs for the Photo Contest will be displayed in the Library Arts Center in Newport on Saturday, February 8th. The winners of the contest will be announced at 1pm.
Photographers may enter up to two (2) photos in the contest, of any size – framed or unframed.
DROP OFF: Entries should be brought to the LAC Tues.-Thurs. Feb. 4th-6th (11:00am-4:00pm) OR Fri. Feb. 7 (11:00am-7:00pm).
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE. There is no size specification for photos. Photos may be taken digitally or with film.
**Only printed copies of photos will be accepted for the competition.
The back of each photograph must be labeled with the photographer’s name, address, phone number, and a photo title. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you would like your photograph to be returned by mail after the show.
PICK UP: Photographs should be picked up the week following the contest – Tues. Feb. 11 – Sat. Feb 15 during gallery hours (Tu-Fri 11-4, Sat 10-2).
Photos not picked up by Feb. 15th will not be kept by the LAC (without prior arrangements made to do so.)
